Girls Hostel Phase II, Tanzania

During 2007, AMARA Aid raised £5,000 to build a kitchen and study room for the 27 girls who live at the Girls Hostel in Tabora, Tanzania, which provides accommodation for girls from outlying villages. At present their families provide the food and the girls make their own meals outdoors on a stove. This is not particularly easy to do, is time consuming and not hygienic. The funds raised will be used to construct a kitchen and a study room. This will help the girls to have more free time for studying in the evenings and provide a nourishing meal for them when they come home from school.
